Kindergarten

Lessons are prepared in collaboration with the school principal. The volunteers may or may not work together with the local teacher. Volunteers may only stand together in front of the class because of a shortage of teachers. 2 volunteers can also teach together in one class.

What are your duties?

You pay attention to the introduction of active working methods.
You involve the students from their environment, differentiation, corner work, playful work forms, musical education.
Create teaching materials
Attend and support after-school activities
The language of instruction in pre-primary education is Ewe. Only a few children already have a notion of the English language. So you have to work closely with the local kindergarten teacher. You also have to be able to work creatively due to the lack of materials and play equipment.

Knowledge of the English language.

You teach from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 13 pm

School holidays:

3 weeks of Christmas (last 2 weeks of December and 1st week of January);
3 weeks of Easter holidays (last 2 weeks of April and 1st week of May);
Big holidays (August and first two weeks of September).
